Questions

What advisors ask us

How much time does it take?

As much as you decide. You pick your answering days and a weekly limit, from one request a week upwards. Most requests take two to five minutes to answer.

What will I be asked?

Short, structured requests: the person’s situation, one specific question, what kind of help they want and how long it should take. Vague asks like “can I pick your brain?” can’t be sent.

Can I say no?

Always. Decline, or mark a request as outside your area. “Not my area” doesn’t count against your response rate, and the asker gets their credit back either way.

How do distinctions work?

They’re worked out from your live record: response rate, people helped and ratings. They’re reviewed continuously, so they mean something to the people who see them.

Can I earn money?

Answering questions is always free for job seekers. Paid sessions such as career calls and mock interviews are launching soon. Askr’s fee drops from 20% to as little as 5% as you help more people for free.

Is my contact information shared?

No. Your email is never shown. People reach you only through structured requests inside your limits, and you can block or report anyone.

You already get these questions. Answer the good ones.
